Unless my eye sight is really failing, it looks like the b4 is quicker by .1. So the b4 might be faster by .1, but I think the b7 will leave it for dust round the corners.

I raced a B7 RS4 up a big hill and as soon as they get to 100mph higher revs they pull away, not stupidly quick but they do. It's all paper figures so unless you had them side by side you'd never feel the difference.

I agree. I've been on track (Bedford, with MRC custom remap) against a B7. Acceleration is about the same but over 100 it pulls away.... Power and aero advantage.

Best bit about the rs2 there is this cable that goes from your foot to this flappy thing. No computer saying er no I dont think so.

And I went to a little track the other month and I really dont think the b7 was any better around the corners..

with a hoffer K26/7 in the mix, I doubt the B7 has a look in.....

However, I suspect the RS2 will still loose out on handling and balance.

but surely the rs2 is like a wasp compared to the hornet. Well I am talking about curbrough this year a b7 was there driven by a sprint master and it only just piped me. Admittedly its a tight track. And I remember reading although I doubt its correct that the rs2 has near perfect 50/50 balance.

In Italy:
Good RS2 average value 13.000/20.000 euros
Good RS4 B7 average value 20.000/30.000 euros

Next couple of years and an RS2 will cost more then a B7....

I hope so, I have spent a small fortune on maintaining mine! Rs2s appear to be pricier on the continent, a good one here I think will only cost circa 11k.

P.s. I will never sell my rs2 and I have never said that about any other car I have owned. I just wish I could also afford an rs4 as well.
