    Colour coding rubber side mouldings

I'll start us off with a pic of my S2.

As you can see, the lower front bumper has even colour coded, and the rubber door/side mouldings now look out of place.

I've just ordered a full new set of these, and I want to colour code them before putting them on the car.

Are these easily painted? Will 'rattle cans' work sufficiently on them?

Normally with plastic, I'd; clean, rub down, clean, primer, spray and then laquer.

Will this work or will I need a flexible primer?

    Cheers, Jason.

Also, how does one remove the colour coded side rubbing strips above?

    Cheers.

I would not use rattle cans....

You really need to get them done professionally, high quality plastic primer, colour, then lacquer, all with alot of plasticiser in it. The rubber flexes ALOT when the door is opened, or when the bottom rubs on a high curb, etc....

Mine were done almst 4 yrs ago and are still looking great...
