    electric biturbo prototype

    I like it
This would be great for reducing the turbo lag of our Audis.

it was only a matter of time before someone used the technology to power elec chargers to be honest!

this will open the floodgates for "turbo conversions" in the aftermarket world!

Looks like someone is finally trying the concept properly (instead of those 'electric turbos' on eBay).

Wonder if I can shoehorn it onto my single-turbo TDI

I played once upon a time with an air con compressor, an air suspension reservoir and a switch on the accelerator for WOT on a V8 range rover.
It was not anything like a turbo in regards to performance but there was a noticeable increase in performance on full throttle.

Electric is a cool way to go but I am sceptical about the lifespan of the components.

All known electrical turbo applications need 48V power - so you need 4 batteries !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
