    Parts suppliers for Europe?

So I recently moved from the USA to Germany/Italy. (i'm in germany now, but will be in Italy in the next month or so). Now I got really good at finding good prices and had lots of good suppliers for maintenance stuff while stateside. Now I need to find good suppliers here...

Stateside I used www.autohausaz.com for many maintenance parts, timing belts, water pumps, oil filters, gaskets, spark plugs, ect. They are a world pack dealer, I'm assuming there are discount world pack suppliers on this side of the world as well. Haven't picked up a car yet, but it certainly will have 5 cylinders, and i want to be ready. Cheers!

I think most people in Europe use local parts stores, rather than ordering online.

I have ordered stuff online...from the states. summit racing being a particular favourite.

prj is right. autofactors followed by, if the smaller place cannot get it main dealer.

try eurocarparts.com and gsfcarparts.com. both uk both sell good stuff but also sell poobiz parts to match

            I use a mix of

            German Swedish French (GSF)
            http://www.gsfcarparts.com/

            Euro Car parts (ECP)

            Custom Auto Craft
cutom auto craft, audi custom restoration and custom parts, stainless steel, chroming parts

Local Audi dealer and my local motor factor. (also keep an eye on ebay)

Pick parts carefully, gsf and ecp sell some ok/oe parts and some crap (ie arms the bushes last less than a week).

I have also used Peete Reeve/Quattro Corner, he seems to get parts out fast, however is normally expensive.

Some people use TPS, I believe ben/s2avant on here can sort you out.

What has happened to your DIY S2?

yeah i'm here to stay. I couldn't take the DIY S2 with me to Italy, their regulations are entirely way to strict and it wouldn't have ever cleared customs. However in hindsight it was worth more money here then it was over there.

Long story short, I sold it. Now i'm on the hunt for an S2 Avant (LHD)

the truth is, i'll try to keep it simple and stock looking, Again Italy is well known for impounding and destroying cars that don't comply. So i'm really interested in the k26 Billet/ rs2 Billet. nice clean stock looking install. I'll probably try to build up a second built engine on the side, but that is down the road a bit.
