Few cabrio oddities...

Hi all,

Just ironing out a few issues with my cab so thought I would ask for advice...

Firstly, every morning after rain the car has a slushing sound as if loads of water is moving around. Turns out there is water that comes out from two holes in the sills, one either side of the car about halfway up... Any suggestions if this is normal or can be rectified?

Secondly, the speedo is hit and miss, sometimes it works, others it doesn't... Is this a new cluster to fix or an issue somewhere else?

Starting to get a slight lemon taste in my mouth at the moment but will persist...

I would think the water draining out is blocked drains for the soft top... as for the speedo ii would look at the VSS first. im not sure wether vcds will diagnose things like that on a car of that age.

Speedo - check the pins in the connector on the speed sensor on the gearbox. They are probably a bit crusty - if so you can clean them up with some de-ox or you can reterminate woith new pins. Otherwise you might have a dodgy speed sensor or connector/pin in the cluster
