    Vinyl wrap roof - opinions??

    Guys,
Theres a bloke i know local to me (hes actually a windscreen fitter) he does vinyl wrapping and window tinting, and from what ive seen his work is pretty good.
The paintwork on my roof is shagged, its got scratches all over it that are beyond polishing.
So i was thinking of getting it wrapped. My car is solid black, so its difficult to think of what could look good. I the 3m carbon would be quite a big area of carbon, so im unsure!?
Matt black would be quite subtle against the black paintwork... And gloss black would be invisible, but would probably scratch easily.
I was wondering if anyone had any out of the box ideas...

Aye, looks good on that BM.

You could also get the roof painted?........but s'pose you've thought of that!

Regards the wrap, would it just be the main roof centre or down the A and C pillars ?

In my opinion bite the bullet and get it painted, you could do all the prep work yourself and save a bit of time and money since it's only one panel

Cat amongst the pigeons here and I say do it in Matt or satin black or even silver or grey? At the end of the day you can trial it and if you decide in a month or so you really don't like it then you can peel it off and start again and just suck up the cost of the wrapping. It's your car bud so it's to you to decide

Aye silver or grey could be a nice contrast!!

I was planning or wrapping it between the roof channels but that doesnt give a panel edge to wrap around so doing the a and c pillars also would make it neater but not sure it would look as good??
Would perhaps get away with matte black on the roof and pillars but prob not with silver or grey, that would have to be a between channels job.

On the general lee theme perhaps i should do a audi sport tri colour red grey black diagonals roof?? Or a german flag roof??

Obviously i have thought of painting but tbh if i was going to paint it i may aswell do the whole car and solve all the other little niggly bits too, and i cant afford that. The roof currently looks shockin, its almost matt already
