Its a C6 3.0Tdi QA 2010, with various codes referring to the 'box and I'm not sure which one is the relevant one....
CDYA (Engine???) HNL KJC 4F5 0YL N1V/QE
I've been advised that certain 'boxes require an oil change at 38k miles.
Can anyone advise whether or not mine falls into this category??
if you are NOT shure, when the oil are changed; change it.....!! use the org oil type as required...not "superduperheavyxxxx type"
I'm with you in principle, But I understand that certain 'boxes are 'Sealed For Life' , and I don't know if mine falls into this criteria (And would rather trust the Boffins on here for advise than my local Dealer)
Tiptronic I guess? AFAIK multitronic on FWD cars and tiptronic on quattro's. The later should be the better one.
I have the handbook, and it lists both 'boxes , but doesn't give any info on how to tell which one is fitted.
I think you're correct (Tiptronic) but I'm hoping someone can tell me for sure from the codes- and then tell me if the oil can be changed, or if there are specific intervals.
It has the paddles on the wheel, if that helps.
Some of the 7 speed autos cannot be refilled though. I have heard stories of garages draining them then realising it cannot be refilled. Im not certain on this though.
Can't be filled? That would be seriously weird. I 'know' they must be filled with the oil at a given temperature while using VAG COM at the same time IIRC
Thats the DSG that has to be filled at a certain temp and all gears selected before setting the level. They are a doddle with the correct tool. The later 7 speeds are different though so I have heard, I may well be very wrong.
