Definitely.
It is a very useful wagon indeed. Mountain trip last fall with fatbike and ski box on the roof, cargo area loaded with all kinds of stuff and four people traveling in perfect comfort.
That the same car (although not entirely stock) have smoked more 911s, etc that I care to remember is an added bonus. As is the fact that it can pull 4x4s out of the ditch in the winter time, with massive quattro traction with the lockable rear diff.

You want to own a bigger car the C4 A6 and you will realise the estate boot in the "RS2" otherwise 80 Avant is a very good load lugger. Anything taller than 12" literally in the C4 A6 and the rear luggage blind has to be removed.Not so in the RS2...80 avant much more practical and thats coming form me who has owned both cars for years and years.

I think he missed the point! The RS2 dawned a new paradigm; the first RS car and the era of Super Estate cars. Yeah the M3 would have the edge but I'd have never fitted my solid oak 6'2" dining table in the back of it. It would only disappoint someone expecting the wrong experience from it.

I agree with you and so do most on this forum as we all at some time or other have yearned to own the Iconic RS2. Inspiration indeed...so much so that SOOOO many on hear are chasing RS2 power and beyond in their B2,B3,B4 chassis cars. Was the RS2 a supercar car when it arrived? You bet it was!! Word was the better heeled 911 drivers either bought the RS2 or the S2, S6 as second cars for the holiday duties. For ultimate sports/race car of the period there's the IMSA 90. Stunning car driven by the best and a 5cyl sound track to die for.
