Been for sale for about a year, was up on Carzone for 14500 euros or thereabouts for most of that time, now just says "POA".

Messaged the chap that had it for sale as I had someone interested if my customer didn't manage to bag a 1996 Kingfisher S2 this weekend.

The price that was discussed with me was £6500 delivered back to the UK. Which is apparently pretty much what he paid for purchase and shipping.

However for it to be registered in Ireland he would have to pay a further few thousand pound.

He purchased a UR Quattro at the same time and as these are classed as collectable for the VRT these also cost several thousand to register.

So the car was advertised for a high price to give him time to save money for the registration.

However he has now decided to sell the S2 to fund the registration of the UR quattro.

I hope this clears things up. As a moderator I felt it necessary to remove the feed from Facebook as it was beginning to get heated and not in keeping with forum policies.

I suggest if anyone is interested in the vehicle to personally get in contact with the vendor.

Yea, if you don't apply to pay vrt they could take the car off you. I have had them come to collect my avant because it still had uk plates on it, as it was out in the open in my driveway. Obviously someone tipped them off, but you should have seen their face when I presented them with my vrt payment receipt

I had no idea the VRT had increased so much.
I remember begrudgingly paying €1780 for my URQ.

As per the text in the Ad, I wonder does it have multiple airbags, and what are light sensors ?

Nicely spec'd other than that, irrespective of the possible asking price.

The VRT is a bloody rip off right enough, but i'd be stunned if it was more than €2000 for an S2. As for a URQ if you get a pre-84 one it'll be €200 = win
