I actually see it as a sensible way of going about things, almost using CQ as a development platform then once your happy with car re-shell into a mint S2

I think you should enjoy your hard work for now and if a solid S2 pops up you can always buy and take your time to do the transfer.

After all the work you've gone through, just enjoy driving it for now you deserve it

Enjoy your car for now,buy a good s2 and keep it standard as you have alluded to values. If you strip it out to put all the modded stuff in you will effectively have stripped out the originality of an unmolested S2 and stripped out it's VALUE! If your not prepared to resist the urge then just keep your CQ and and enjoy.Horse has already bolted

I think it is sensible also.

I love my Coupe but since putting the amount of money into it. And the way I am with doing things Id have had two ABY S2 already. If you are thinking about it you wont' stop thinking about it. Don't let the good deals today go away! UK market is still reasonable compared to EU.

The S2 will hold the value a regular coupe will not.
                    Cheers mis amigos,

Can always put all the options you've fitted to the CQ on a stock S2. Of course, it'll need an RS2 turbo and some 996 brakes...

I'd never put a cage in a road car
The point is I can't afford two cars, so having a genuine S2 aswell is not an option. If I can find a car with a nice body for £4-5k it won't really cost me much as there will be around £4k worth of redundant parts

I dont know what stage your at, but if you have the opportunity to switch out a damp floppy coupe body for an avant i would do it. Looking back im glad i never got around to converting my CQ20v, only reason i didn't was a clean bodied S2 came along to tempt me.
