Audi to drop endurance racing(WEC) and move (back) to F1?

Utter rumour which has done the rounds for several years. I would be very surprised if they entered F1 given their need for direct linkage to road going models which endurance racing has delivered them in spades over the years.
Lena Gade one of the Audi race engineers left WEC for F1 which again would be an odd move if their own entry was imminent too.
Be interesting to see but more likely to see Fezza enter an lmp1 car in the WEC then them switch to F1 IMO...sigpic

personally I hope they don't do such a silly move.
Her sister, Teena, is at Force India. This may be where the confusion has arisen.

They already played down these rumours saying they are stastaying in WEC and DTM and have no intention in going into F1. F1 is dying sport in my opinion, so glad they didn't do that.'93 Audi 100 Avant - R.I.P
