Sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum. If so just let me know and I'll take it down. I recently just purchased a 1991 audi 3.6 v8 quattro 5 speed and I'm noticing this odd noise coming from the timing belt cover on passenger side and I have no idea what it is. Before I have to pay to remove the cover and whatever else it takes I was wondering if someone has had this similar problem. If so thanks. Here's a video of the sound. Thank you
I've had good luck asking V8-related questions recently at Classic Audi. The S2Forum is a great forum but it tends to be focussed on inline-5s and specifically the 3B, AAN, ABY and ADU 20 valve turbo versions.
You know, I drove a 5spd once and I was "speechless" after..
Dark green on black and incredibly rare in my world. Because of it I converted my 2.2L 100 Avant to a 5spd. Best thing I ever did. There is always the good feeling of having a V8 behind a manual shift!!
Haha its acually a gunmetal grey flake. It was painted the grey a couple months back so it's pretty close to new. So it's grey on black. Picture does make it look green though. And yes car is very rare around here also. Only one to my knowledge in my state. And yes it's great if I could just figure out that noise in the engine. Lol
I thought that you were in Belgium because of a) the lack of flag on your user profile and b) because of a ".be" in your YouTube link.
I see now that you are in the US. On that basis, Audifans has a V8 bulletin board forum with archives that go back to 2003 and is currently operating. Join that forum and ask your question (you post via email) (post the Youtube link).
Okay thanks I tried to try and post the link in that one you gave me earlier but it won't let me post it. I joined the forum and all. Not sure what the issue is there. And okay thank you I will try that link. And yes I'm in the us just new to this forum and getting use to the way things are set up.
