Audi S2 Sedan - original? Production number?

Im going to watch an S2 Sedan next weekend, and i just wanna make sure its a original one. What should i look for? Is it a way to check wich number of s2 sedan this is?
The car is a 94 mod swedish car, with the quattro interior, facelift dash and is red.

Very easy. Check the engine code on the paper glued in the spare wheel compartment, must be aby.

The key details that you need to see are on the build tag which is in the boot somewhere by the spare and in the warranty book. Engine must by an ABY (stamped on the head, exhaust side, under the cam cover breather tube near the front).

Must say 8C2 LZ9 and "80 Lim S2". The final four digits can be faked but the check sum value in the VIN will be wrong if they are.

Yes. There are at least three on this forum. A red rhd prototype S2 sedan in the UK and a silver and a green one in New Zealand.

A genuine ABY S2 saloon is a very desirable car, once the shell is straight.

I did a bit of searching this afternoon and I got up to at least 10 S2Forum posters with S2 sedans. At least one in Norway.
