No. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I've moved on. I am manually editing each hyperlink to eliminate the path to another drive, etc. The files and the master Excel spreadsheet are in the same folder on my C drive. (Which is the way I had it before Microsoft Macroscrewed(tm) me) |

But since I can't write a macro, its what I will have to do.
      Hi Dave,
I'm not sure if you still need help with this problem. Unfortunately I didn't notice your thread until now. I could write a macro in excel, or maybe write a stand alone program to fix the problem. If you still need help, get in touch so I can get an understanding of the current situation

Just sayin..............as I find your links, pdfs etc. a godsend.

If you set up a paypal account, I'd happily contribute to the cost of the storage devices. such is the 'value' of the information and the imperative in preserving it in my mind.

my thinking exactly! that guy (among some others) should get a statue!

Thanks for the offer. The manual hyperlink editing isn't as bad as I thought. Once I edit the link, I check to see that it works and in doing so, I get to review articles that I might not have seen for 6 to 10 years - so that is good. For example, I forgot that I had some UrS4/S6 V8 articles. And S2 sedan reviews that I forgot about totally.

Plus I am replacing bad quality pdfs that I made from jpgs of some articles with improved quality pdfs scanned from the original magazine that I have subsequently purchased.

In looking for magazines that I don't have to scan new pdfs, I have found new articles to seek out. For example, I just purchased a Jan 1995 Australian Motor Magazine with an RS2 article in it.

Hey Dave, no pressure but if you come across any UrS6 articles you might consider posting them in a separate thread, thanks either way.
