Audi R5T KG 10 valve turbo engine

    Hi everyone.

I am potentially looking to buy this engine from a 1986 Audi 200 turbo and I would like to know what the S2forum community think it is really worth.

The last auctions reserve was set at $1890 New Zealand Dollars, which is:
    $1000 GBP
    $1300 USD
    $1200 Euro

Now I think that is unrealistic, I don't know how rare they are in your part of the world but AAN's sell for less than that here in NZ.

I was thinking a fair offer would be around $400 NZD, which is:
    $200 GBP
    $280 USD
    $250 Euro

Please let me know what you guys and gals think. Here is a link to the motor and auction page:

Bear in mind that there has been a coupe complete Audi 100 & 200's for sale here around the $800 NZD mark.

I have the feeling that that aren't worth all that much here even though there isn't many of them. Hmm the market will decide I guess.

A 10 valve would be cheaper, It's just an idea really. I'd be benefiting a lot if I didn't buy it haha. I already have a project car and a S6 daily driver...
