Buying an s2, genuine or fake?

Hello all! My first post to this forum. I don't even own an s2 yet but still ran into a small problem.

I'm about to buy one on wednesday, but something got me worried that its not real s2. I have the VIN (WAUZZZ8CZPA208313), tried several decoders but they were no good. Can anyone tell from the VIN number alone that it really is an s2?

I know that there is the VIN sticker glued somewhere in the trunk (where on avant?) that has the engine codes etc printed on it. Will call the dealer tomorrow if he could look it up (if the sticker is still present).

Any others things that could tell a real s2 from a fake? Really don't want to travel several hundred kms just to look at a fake s2 if there is possibility to check it without actually inspecting the car.

Why don't you call official audi dealer, they will tell you in a second if it is S2 or 80 from factorty.

Sorry. You or I can NOT tell whether that is an S2 or an 80 just from the VIN number. Needs more info like the 8C5 7L9. You need to see the build tag.

Registered to myaudi.audi.com and entered VIN. Should be real S2. Still hoping that the sticker is where it should be, so i could get final confirmation.

If you can find a genuine sticker in correct location it'll have the engine code on. Good start
More valuable cars (think old Fords) to fake than Audis anyway

Thanks for the help! Seller found the VIN sticker and sent me a picture of it. It is an S2. Looks like i'm gonna own a new car tomorrow
