    Audi 200 FWD

The Audi 200 Type 44 was available with 5 Speed Manual and 3 Speed Auto with the KG Engine.

It was also available with a Non-Turbo 5 with 5 Speed (and 3 Speed Auto I think)

The 1988/1989 F & G Plates "Facelift" 200 Turbo with Tear Drop Dash and Flush Door Handles was available with 3 Speed Auto (maybe 5 Speed too?) but the engine output on the Auto was reduced to 140KW (190bhp) and was designated 2B (rather than 1B and 147KW/200bhp of the quattro)

In any case, no fancy diffs!

          Audi 200 turbo variants:

          Audi 200 turbo FWD, auto, 2,144cc 10V, WJ 170 PS 1981 - 1983
          Audi 200 turbo FWD, auto, 2,144cc 10V, KG 182 PS 1984 - 1987
          Audi 200 turbo quattro, 2,144cc 10V, KG 182 PS 1985 - 1987
          Audi 200 turbo FWD, auto, 2,226cc 10V, 2B 190 PS 1988 - 1990
          Audi 200 turbo quattro, 2,226cc 10V, 1B 200 PS 1988 - 1990
          Audi 200 turbo quattro, 2,226cc 20V, 3B 220 PS 1989 - 1991 (Not UK)
          Audi 200 turbo FWD, auto / manual, 2,226cc 10V, MC 165 PS 1988 - 1990 (Not UK)

There are other variants of 200 turbo for other countries not mentioned here, but all used either torsen or non - torsen 5 speed manual gear boxes (quattro), or 3 / 4 speed auto boxes (FWD). Audi V8 was the first model to feature automatic in conjunction with quattro drivetrain, and the only car to feature torsen rear differential. There was no LSD. For what it's worth, the 4.2 Audi V8 was the first car to gain the 6 ratio manual transmission (yes, before the S2), though all UK versions were automatic. Manual version of the 3.6 cars (not UK) had a 5 ratio box.

Again, no LSD available, just stock torsen centre differential. 100 turbo quattro was never available in the UK with a non torsen differential.
