      Exceptional Article

Now I've read the article all I can say is 10 years on I think they got it just about right, this review hits all the points that are making me want to ditch my 968 for an S2. Audi ergonomics especially are way, way ahead of Porsche even my Coupe GT has lots of little clever and sensible touches that Porsche didn't bother with until years later - there's always the "it's primarily a drivers car" excuse, well that just doesn't wash: The interface between the driver and the car is through what they see and touch in the hotseat! If you haven't got that right it must detract from the experience and pleasure of the drive. In practical terms the S2 is right up there with the 968 in everyday performance, with the S2 obviously bounds ahead in terms of torque.
Shame I ever went away from the four rings at all, really!
