Hi All,
I have recently purchased an older Audi, and the drivers seat is not locking in and slides back. I am quite short so this can be dangerous!
Does anyone know of a fix? How am I able to take the seats out. I am new to Audi's!
Thank you.
The slide/locking mechanism is very simple. If you look under the seat, in the centre-line of the seat there's a pin which should lock the seat in place, if you move the lever you should get the idea of how it works? In your case it would be an idea to compare it to the passenger side assuming that is working ok?
There is a spring, maybe it's missing/disconnected? Also there's a rubber guide which could be worn/broken?
Hi John,
Thanks for your help.
It’s just a very hard thing to get too. I’ve looked underneath and can identify the pin, however cant see much more than that. I’ll have a better look tomorrow. Thanks!
