Should hopefully be getting keys to our first home in next few months, and luckily for me it comes with a healthy 6.3m x 3m detached garage. Plan is to have the urS4 kept in there, with 'workshop' area & pressure washer setup.

All complete storage/worktop kits are extortionate, so wondering what setup people have in their garage?

Where are you based? A guy near me specialising in factory clear out sales and he always has large metal benches and storage units for sale at reasonable pieces. In West Wales mind.
PM me your mobile and I will send you a link.

My double garage is halfway through being "completed", I can post up some pics later if you would like?

            Congrats on the move!
I'd also love some inspiration for when I finally get round to rebuilding my double garage

I’ve set mine up with a mid height scissor lift and bench at the back…. Can’t have too large a bench in my opinion. Maybe check out Daves supplier, mines wooden (made it with 6x2” timbers left over from the house rebuild) but metal would be far superior

Hi Davi123 what’s it like with mid scissor lifts as I’m thinking of getting some but people said it can damage the sills? But you use the rubber blocks on the supporting sills on your car so I’m bit confused why people say this, also what height does it go up to please

Hi, no problem with sills provided you buy one that fits the S2. Some are quite short and I could see how they’d damage the sills. I went for a strongman mid rise lift and the ramps can lock out to accommodate different sill lengths. Height I think was 1.1m. I’d have loved a full height lift but haven’t got the height. These are a good compromise Cheers Paul

One thing I'd recommend spending a few quid on is a really good vice, I'd try and find an old British made one like a Record or Parkinson, much better than some new from blooody China and obviously you'll need a bench to mount it on. Being an ex carpenter I always make my benches out of wood the way my father does it, very robust, I can take a picture of mine and give you a cutting list if you want.

And congratulations on getting your own place!

Such an odd thing isn't it, can't seem to find a good solid vice.

Tractor Dave gave me contact details for someone who does factory clear outs, been keeping an eye out for that. If you could take some pictures that would be fantastic.

Heuer Brockhaus vices are also very good.
Also good lighting is nice. I have a good number of Philips LED bars fitted.

My garage with 7mm thick PVC tiles.

Hydraulic lift which can go up 190cm, but at 110cm it will push the roof up with the car.
I wired a couple of optical sensors into the system to prevent the car to hit the ceiling.

That looks like a dream garage, wow I considered the PVC tiles but cost is a bit more than I'm prepared to spend, will most likely seal the concrete and put down few coats of garage floor paint.

Do you have a model / link for the LED lights you used? Plan is to fit 2 LED bars on each side with separate switches and 2 or 3 on the ceiling.
