  • Please help if you can :)

I dont often post threads like this, but if anyone was able to help it would be excellent

My girlfriend has lost both of her parents to cancer in the last 2 years.
Her mum raised a lot of money for the charities during her last year of battling it.
Now, my girlfriends son (he is only 9) wants to carry on in her place, and is starting with a 3k fun run.

There is an article in our local paper today, which can be seen here:

If anyone is able to give a pound, or any loose change sitting in your paypal account it would mean a huge amount to him
    You can donate here:

Thankyou in advance for any help

Good on him. I'll put something in for his hard work!
A worthy cause and one that I support whole heartedly. My girlfriend is an NHS nurse specialising in oncology and her mothers now making a full recovery from cancer.

Actually this one for me is a little close to home, one of the complications of Ovarian cancer can sometimes be a condition called pseudomyxoma peritonei which is where the cancer spreads to the abdominal cavity, this can also happen with appendix cancer which is what I had.

Shirley's spread to her brain and spinal chord, which is very rare and took her life within 2 months
