Not S2/4 related but..........can anyone give me the highlights on what to look for regarding the above - it has already had the DRC and clutch replaced - 32K on the clock so hopefully it won't have too many surprises......
Of the top of my head; (my dad still has one after 95K miles, I drive it occasionally)
If DRC is replaced thats one headache out of the way!
The engines can be prone to the usual boost leaks/failed diverter valves. Intercoolers can also sometimes leak or split and have boost leaks.
Brake Discs annd Calipers are very expensive so check for wear.
Typre Pressure Monitors are mounted inside the rim and have only a finite life (5 years?) My father spent a couple of thousand punds sorting these out.
Check the gearbox is not slipping/clunking. Should be ok at that mileage but not unheard of to fail, is it chipped? More likely to do so if it is. Most good tuners change the gearbox map too.
Most of all, enjoy a very well rounded and capable car!
thats my advice , i had one cost a fortune to run and look after. prone for gearboxes especially if its been chipped , speak to grizz at unit 20 specialist in rs6 cars has lots of second hand parts,. if you intend on buying one he will be your new best friend!
