Right, been a slow start as I've been flat out with work and waiting for parts to arrive but here are a few pics of what has been done so far.

Freshwater hot and cold plumbing done, fire with back boiler installed and started plumbing up the radiators that are heated by the fire.

Really good stuff, thank you... Keep the updates coming, from an engineering/ interest point of view, it's fascinating to see a different kimd of build...

Once this is all done I have to modify kitchen units to fit the shape of the boat as the sides are not vertical. Then start building custom units for the bathroom and bedroom. Bit of a learning curve really as I'm no plumber or chippy.

Interesting. Might one ask what the going rate is for a new barge? Is the boat itself an all steel construction or is the top half fiberglass? What make is the engine? and whats the inside height? Never been in one so thats why i ask all the questions

We paid just under 70k for ours. It's all steel and has about 2.3m head height inside. New boats are all spacious and made of steel it's only the old ones that are smaller and made of wood or fiberglass. The engine is a Beta Marine that is fully marinised.

Made some more progress this weekend. Got the flue installed and finished the plumbing. Also started to build some cabinets.

Tidy work on the flue, do you have an overall floor plan you are working to?

                          Yeah kinda,
Open plan kitchen, front room but design changes daily. Not working to a set design either. It's a learning curve considering I haven't done anything like this before.
