    Electrical fault

Electrical fault has suddenly appeared on my RS2. When drivers door is opened there is warning buzz even if ignition off and key removed. Stops when door is shut but something else must be going on as my fully charged battery has discharged when parked. No other warning indications when driving. Anyone come across this before or any suggestions please. Thanks
    Cheers

Sounds like a short circuit in the wiring loom at the door hinge area could be the culprit.

If you have digital multimeter, measure the voltage across each of the fuses (in place) to find the circuit drawing current. The circuit at fault will show a few millivolts , so you need a 2 volt range or less. You can get an idea by switching on the headlights to see what a typical value looks like. Either that, or stick a small 12v test lamp into each of the fuse sockets. The one drawing current will light the lamp...

normaly you get a buzz when your lights or on so check if all your lights or off, problem can also come from the radio, there is also a wire where a power comes up when the lights or on,you can unplug the radio and see what's happend,if problem is gone you can remove that wire from the plug

Agree. The warning buzzer is there to indicate that if you left the lights on or the radio on, when you open the door, the buzzer goes off. That is the way it should be.
