    RS2 Headliner Re - trim

    Hi

Can anyone recommend a really good car upholsterer (name and number) if possible please.

I am looking to re - upholster the headlining on my RS2 also is the material called Jacquard Satin?

It didn't look to bad when I took it out of my car but when you get closer I can see the orange gunk starting to break up any info is appreciated

Alright John, just having an S2 sunroof coupe one done at a trimmer local to me in Newark, should be coming back this week. Any decent trimmer should be able to do it especially if headliner is already out. Sourcing the headlining material is the hard bit, I was not 100% on what he had and found a company called www.as-trim.co.uk/ that had something that matched colour of sunvisors and seems very good quality, in fact the trimmer asked for details of company that supplied it. I supplied him with the old board still with old lining and orange crud on it and material that I had sourced. Some of the original headlining materials are still available from Audi Tradition but good luck dealing with them.

Not to hijack the thread, but hopefully to keep all headling stuff in a current thread, while I have experience of taking down the A, B and D pillars in B4 Avant, what does one do next to take down the main headlining and the headlining on the sunroof panel - while it is possible to 'suck it and see' it's handy to benefit from those that have gone before others.

      Thanks.

Hi, I done my RS2 headlining myself, used alcantara type material with foam backing and 3m 90 spray adhesive, Material was from as trim, easy enough to do, excellent company to deal with, It looked excellent, a louch of luxury, sunroof needs to be done with non padded version of same material
