I use an air chisel for the inner and outer races. Off in 5 seconds. Just try not to slip

I haven't done it on a b5 but the on car tools with a good selection of cups and different sized round parts make it easy to do on car. I did 2 on a 4x4 Skoda a few weeks a go in a few hours on car with it. You use the correct size parts to push on the outside or inside of the bearing as required. You use a slide hammer with attachment to take off the drive flange. I had a 20t press ready as a backup but this was honestly easier. Disturbed less suspension stuff too. Just need to disturb enough to get the drive shaft out of the way. It's definitely my preferred method now. Disturb less, brake less I say.

It's interesting that you can poly that bush. As crazy as it sounds I don't think I'd have had a red one as I like the oe black look. Powerflex claim that the oe is the best design for that position.
i agree with the disturb less/break less philosophy. I managed to snap my nsr abs sensor. Not a problem I thought.. until you try to get one as it also includes self leveling headlight wiring and brake wear sensor. It's NLA and alternatives carry the formidable RS tax.
