  • Electric fan

Hi. My car is a Quattro coupe 20v. Got an issue where the electric fan is on from stone cold. Anyone else had this issue? Is it a simple new switch gear or is it the fan that's rubber ducked? Any advice most welcome, that is posative advice please, numpties please keep your thoughts to yourself.

First thing I would do is unplug the connector to the switch on the bottom of the radiator.....if fan goes off then the switch is at fault. Think this will be the cheapest option?!!

if it's only running with the ignition on, it is most likely the fan switch at the bottom of the radiator. you can measure the resistance between the pins on the sender - low resistance is bad. note there are different versions of this sender. The Coupe 20v I owned used a 3 pin version
