That's what I've been think about. I keep thinking that my has had the mileage zeroed by a previous owner when they replaced the peeling clocks. They then re-adjusted them back again after about 30,000 miles which shows in the MOT history and knock the price down. I then think of all the work that's went into the car to make it a reliable daily driver and think maybe it worth more. I should probably start at the £12k and see!

Do you need a minimum amount of posts to advertise on CA? I'm not a member of that forum.

You'll get what you mentioned in PM straight away if an enthusiast is looking for an Avant. You'll get more on the classic car sites if you're in no rush. Don't underestimate pistonheads either.

Gumtree et al, you reach a wider audience, but also mostly idiots. I've sold my last few cars via gumtree paid for ads, but by god, it's like pulling teeth with some folk. If you lock it down to e-mail/text then they're easily blocked, though.

Yeah, I have probably under valued the car in my head. I will put it up for more and I can see where it goes from there. I will be back to using my motorbike for getting about. So I won't be in a rush to sell the Audi as I can sit until it sells!
