S2 Avant Track Car?

I've been getting along to the odd track day recently which I've taken the coupe to and had a lot of fun. But ideally, I'd not be thrashing the coupe to within an inch of it's life, which got me thinking... I have a tired S2 avant whose main issues are bodywork and general tattyness it is RS2 spec and realistically just needs fuel lines to be running again. A track car wouldn't require the level of respray it needs to be a tidy road car and I could do the paint myself.

So why not convert it to a track car? It's will be just as fun as the coupe and may even handle better, if I believe the Avant preachers on here!

I guess it will be a little heavier than the coupe. But otherwise what else is there to consider?

Nothing wrong if you re-build it into a track car! Imo it would be cool to see one competing on the track.
