Hi everyone, I bought a 94 RS2 in Hong Kong 5 years ago. It only done 50000km. And it had stay my garden for 4 years and some of the interior parts cracked/melt. Since the parts was very hard to find in here(one of the front headrest and rhd main carpet still missing)! Therefore, I just thinking to keep on the restore project or separate it to build a RS2 lemo. Anyone can give me some suggest?

If I understand correctly, it sounds like you want to dismantle the very low mileage rs2 to build something else because you can't find some trim / carpet / headrest?
This doesn't sound like a good idea to me as you will still be missing the parts for your project or have the same problem with finding other parts for whatever you make.
The sensible thing to do is keep it complete and if you don't like it with missing parts: sell it so a rare car is not lost. -
Carpet is identical to 80 Avant and Cardcrash on here did have spare headrest

Yes, you do need a new carpet!
The rest is very fixable.
Can you ship the car to me and I will sort of for you

I still want to restore it! But looking for the head rest for pass 4 years and RHD carpet for 2 years still nothing! Is time to think what to do for this metal because it's very expensive to store a car in Hong Kong for one parking space cost over HKD$2M/ monthly HKD$5k...Comment

Surely any audi 80 avant carpet will fit. As for headrest any audi 80 will do. Or a similar recaro seat headrest retrimmed.
OK it may not be one for the purists but why write off a rare and salvageable car for two very minor bits.

If you restore it you’ll still have to park it somewhere or are you planning to drive it and sell what you’re driving at present.
Do your head rests look like these?

Or this?

Really, are you sure about that? Is it actually rotten? Since you have to remove it to put new carpet in, why not pull it out, steam clean it, then carpet shampoo it and see how it comes up?
I did this last week with my coupe carpet after discovering that the passenger side carpet spent the winter under an inch of water (blocked drains?). The carpet came up looking like new in less than an hour from being pulled. The only problem I had was that the metal brackets holding the mat studs had rusted so a stud fell off, but new items were sourced (see below).

My biggest concern would be who dismantled the car (particularly the dash) and did they keep all the fasteners/clips/screws/bolts/doohickies etc. as sourcing these can be a pain!
Also, with the dash that far out, I would change the heater matrix before putting the car back together.
Cheers n beers
