3B Wheels - What Are They Worth?

I have a set of 3B wheels with very good Pirelli winter tyres. The wheels will need refurbishing to make perfect.

In addition there are two more wheels without tyres which again would need refurbishing.

I’ve looked on eBay to get an indication of value but there’s none for sale. Roughly what would they be worth as I’ll need to put a price on them in the For Sale section?

Just over a year ago I sold a set that had four very good and fairly new semi budget tyres (6mm tread+) they had been refurbished well enough but not properly with a dimond cut finish, they had no center caps and I also included a lightly damaged fifth wheel to make up a set of five.

I started the auction at £299 or best offer and in the end let them go for £220, that was after months of stupid offers like £100 which I simply ignored as I could have pulled the tyres off and scrapped them for that. That's how I list anything I'm not really sure of the price of, sometimes people offer more than the starting price which I find a bit odd (considering they could just enter the starting bid) but I don't complain and accept the offer.

If you don't like the idea of working for half a day free and have miles of spare bubble wrap as well as cardboard make them collection only. I will no longer send wheels with tyres on unless the buyer is prepaired to for pay my time packaging as well as the courier unless they're for a friend.

Cheers for that. I thought they would have been worth more.

I’ll probably just use them as spares as all my cars have the same pcd. It’ll save putting them on axle stands if the original wheels are away for refurbishing.

Thanks again for the detailed reply.

No problem, unless they've refurbished properly then they don't fetch good money, which is a bit disappointing. Kinda wish I'd kept my spare set now, I have a set on my C4 V6 Avant quattro and a good spare. But I also have a a set of 5 x112 15" wheels and a set of the late C4 V6 five spokes with good winter tyres so I really didn't need them.

My C4 is my only 5 x112 car after all. If you've got a few 5 x 112 cars then I'd also keep them.

I had set done properly in metalic black which looked pretty cool, I had them for sale a few years back and took £150 for them in the end to cover the powder coating costs and free up some space.
