I thought this maybe of interest to some members, it's good channel that I'm subscribed to.
Not an old I5 I know but still a VAG five pot, he puts out a different engine strip down every week which is normally part of my early Sunday morning viewing.
I don't think we ever got the version in the video just the mental ones in RS3's etc as those are also the only ones I've seen, still the same base engine though.
Glad you enjoyed it. Normally the motors he pull's apart are in even worse condition than that one, often with hole's in the block from catastrophic failures.
Easy way to spend an half an hour or so while having a cuppa, plus I always learn something.

The 07K was fitted to regular VW's Stateside like Rabbits, Jettas etc. as a 2.5 N/A motor with cast iron block and alloy head and was launched circa 2006. TTRS and latter RS Audis with turbos had an alloy block.
The standard 07K N/A head well outflows the ABY. They were a very strong and reliable engine. It's a bit of a job to install one in a B series Audi shell but has been done many times.

Definitely a great way to spend time—watching those engine fixes and learning something in the process. Appreciate you sharing!

Glad a few of you enjoyed it, as I say I always watch his videos on a Sunday morning and learn things about how poorly made modern engines are and that changing the oil in good time is highly important.
However, here's probably my favorite automotive channel, this guy is obviously a very good plant mechanic so it's supposed to be tongue in cheek but does/says some hilarious things. A lot of the humor will probably b lost on a non mechanically minded person.
He tend to put a new video weekly pretty much at random .
And I like his moto 'if your not having fun then you're doing it wrong'
