Ok so I’m back on the hot start issue. I’ve fixed my cold start issue which was caused by a non functioning ISV due to no fuse, and a previously incorrectly base idle setting which I assume was to compensate for not having a functioning ISV.
So after that I was confident that the hot start issue would be related, but unfortunately it wasn’t. I have the exact same symptoms. I’ve done a carbon canister delete to just completely rule that out but that’s not changed anything at all. I used to get pressure or vacuum build up in the fuel tank, I can’t tell which, which was another reason for deleting it. Weirdly, I’m still getting a big hiss when I open the fuel filler cap with the canister deleted. I’ve done this as many others have on the forum. Cap the manifold, keep the N80 plugged in as a dummy load, and keep the in-line valve on the expansion hose that would have connected to the carbon canister and rerouted it outside the car.
I can’t think of the next move here given everything I’ve done, changed and tested. The obvious red flag that doesn’t match the Bentley spec is the fuel pressure drop to around 2.5 bar when turning the car off.
The only thing I can think of is that a line in the tank is spilt maybe, but I can’t really see in there too well, and I’ve tried looking for replacement lines but I can’t find any spec online of the lines themselves or how there setup.
