Oil pressure sender/ switch wiring (7A owners)

    Hi all,

I just wanted to ask a favour from any 7A owners on here. I've noticed that one of the wires to my oil pressure sender or switch is broken and not attached. There's an unoccupied terminal on the dual-function oil pressure switch/ sender, so logic would say crimp a spade connector onto the wire and reattach it there. I've looked at the wiring diagram in the Bentley manual, and it conflicts with what I currently have, so I wondered if anyone could take a photo of their wiring so I can confirm if it matches mine or not.

So currently, on the single oil pressure switch, that sits lower down, I have a white/black wire (could be grey/black... it's dirty and old). To me, this looks untouched and has the OEM rubber boot on it.

Above, I have the dual-function switch/ sensor. This currently has a blue/white wire attached to one of the terminals, but I can't see if it's attached to the G or WK terminal without removing it.

The stray broken wire is blue/black, which looks like it should go back onto the dual-function switch/ sensor.

If anyone could snap a quick photo of theirs or tell me how yours is wired, it'd be much appreciated. Here's a picture where I've circled them both for reference.

    If it makes a difference, mine's a pre-March 1990 7A.

I've had a look at mine.....access is a bit tight in my garage but I got a look down at the sender. Blue and white wire is attached with a spade terminal and is original . The other wire which looks blue and black has a rubber cover shielding where it connects to the sender.
No phone on me so no picture sorry, looking down from the top isn't ideal either, probably get a better look from the underside ?

Thank you John. I appreciate you taking a look. I guess that's enough confirmation in itself. I'll move forward and assume everything was correct, and that the blue/black spade connector had come off, the previous owner never restored the missing connector and that it should go back onto the terminal that's currently not occupied.

The bigger of the two with the two terminals isn't the original, I think it's Vemo by the looks of it so that made me also wonder if it had been wired back in correctly. One, because it's been unplugged, and two, that the Vemo isn't marked with G and WK like the OEM one is. I've found some not-so-sound wiring done by one of the previous owners, so I'm a bit sceptical when I feel or see some wiring that's amiss, whether it's been messed with and restored correctly or not.

I think you're right to question the wiring .
