Does anyone play online racing games?

Im thinking about getting back into some online racing, should I go for Live for speed again, or give GTR2 a try?
Ive just been looking at some of the cars you can download, and some screen shots, and it looks pretty impressive!
Which is best to go for?

Depends really. rFactor is quite nice, has a different feel to it than GTR2 but the usermods have more variety and are limited to full on racing motors. On their website you can try out the demo and see if you like (~680mb d/l ).

LFS can be fun though as you may well know

GTR2 is excellent for what it is, the sounds and technique to drive are on point.

I love the fact you can skin cars quite easily on LFS, which is good if you get a team going, but the fact the cars are not real ones and a limited selection puts me off abit.
I may give GTR2 a go

Do you remember Test Drive 2 on the Sega megadrive? must've beaten that game 20 times, my mate had it. Anyone have F1 on the megadrive too? Thats the one that got me into F1/cars at such a young age...

GPL is a tough game, haven't played it in a looong time but remember driving the 'ring on it.... musta spun 50 times.

I've got RBR but never had a system that could play it... looked stellar on my brother's machine but he only had a keyboard for controls

I think I had the original GTR - it was a conversion mod for an EA F1 game. Was amazing, so the 2nd must be quite something!!

Car racing game

Test Drive 2 on the Amiga was one of my most memorable driving games ever, coming a close 2nd to Outrun and Hard Drivin in the arcades.... memories....

I remember one, I think it was called Ridge racer in the arcades .... the one in Blackpool used a real Mazda MX5 that you sat in & all the cars controls had been linked up to the game
