Danger Never Push Start A 911 Turbo

Not good this, and don't laugh. Last night I broke my nose push starting my neigh'bours 911 turbo.
Hears what happend. 8oclock I am in my work shop enjoying a few beers, and my neigh'bour walks in and says, come on I am taking you down the pub, you spend far to much time in this workshop, and like a pratt I agree,so quick change and a squirt, and we are down the pub.
11.30 finally arrives and we leave for home.and yes the all singing all dancing 911 won't start, the battery was flat.Give us a push he said,it will start.
Now every fiber in my,[by now full of beer body]said this is not a good idea, but I start to push, low angle arms fermly planted feet digging in rugby style, and it starts just as I start to apply pressure,he has foot to the floor and the 911 is no longer there, down I go with proberbly more speed than the 911 and my nose makes contact with the back of the car, blood everyware.and seeing plenty of stars, with a now gathered crowd of people clapping like mad. So a word of warning IF someone in a 911 says give us a push give him a lift home instead

I'm torn between feeling sorry for you and laughing flat on my back...

Good tip though ! The way I see it, it may never come to be handy but as they put it, "you live and learn" everyday...

Me and a few others went to bump start a Darrian rally car(mid engined ford rs200 lookalike) High powered ,high compression engine- when the driver let the clutch out- the car stopped dead ,caught and was then off- leaving one of the boys front teeth embedded in the rear spoiler. ouch......
Was funny at the time tho

You have to laugh even when it hurts. I wanted to post a picture of my nose so you could all have a laugh, but at the moment it won't fit on the screen.

Sorry to hear about that Lou! Haven't met your neighbor but from what you describe he sounds like a good guy! Although you are showing your age, going home at 11:30

So am I going to see you next saturday in Bury with stitches on your face?

                  And is the Porsche ok???

Aww man. good job you had pre-anesthetised yourself.

Few years ago around xmas I was pushing my brother's sri cavalier and same thing happened. It caught and it took off but I was hanging onto the spoiler and didn't want to let go (and break my nose) so I ended up rocketing down the back lane, him booting it and me screaming like a girl. I think the icey road saved my feet from being word down to bloody stumps. When my brother stopped and I walked up to his window he sh4t a brick of course.

So anyway. bad luck mate. And don't trust people coming out of pubs and getting into porsches. It can only end in tears.
