There is only so much a driver can do in F1, the rest is down to the car and to a lesser extent the team.

yes thats my point I wasn't expecting him to podium the Honda if he was a better driver.....I was simply saying that a great driver can still make progress and develop the car in such a way to side step some of the problems that have been discovered or designed into it.

Hamilton definately landed on his feet at Mclaren this season and probably jenson would have finished in the top 3...but think about Rubens who has peddled backwards since leaving Ferarri. Then think about someone like Damon Hill who left Williams and still managed to make an unreliable car like the arrows finish in the points and almost take a win.

Agreed the car and team play a significant part but the driver also has limitations of their own...personally would love Button to prove me wrong but for so many seasons he just hasn't

Thing you got to remember about BAR is that their issue is reliability. When Jenson has finished he has more often than not been in or very near the points - with a car that isn't really that competitive even when i gets round the track without blowing up

i think it should be a woman who understands that he will be away for a few weekends and dosent moan at him when he gets home late and wont mind spending his millions on shoes and handbags and likes all the attention she would get of the press

I would love to partner Lewis. I think we would get along great. I love cars, have done a bit of karting, I don't know why McLaren haven't approached me to be honest.
