Drove my ur in the wet today for the first time since getting it mapped, its virtually undrivable with 2.2 bar of boost.
Not fitted the torson box yet so locked the centre and rear diff it just spins all four wheels in every gear but fifth, 10 out of 10 for entertainment though not for the faint hearted ...
Must admit, drove the s2 last night taking 220bhp's (lou) son alex and callam3n out for a quick drive to get some petrol and car was ok until it came on boost i.e. coming out of the petrol station and it swung the back out.
When yours comes on boost does it try to kick the rear out? Just that with my coupe quattro (non-turbo) I found if it was wet it would try and kick out the rear wheels if you was not careful.
When you say torsion box, am I right in thinking thats the s2 box instead of the urq box? or something different?

Not to bad it does go sideways when the boost comes on, but its quite progressive with it. The easiest way to explain it is it feels like it has massive torque steer but through both axles i.e front goes one way back goes another give it slight correction via the steering and it gets way out of shape..

Ok is this still with the same tyres you had before or you changed them since? I presume it does this in the dry just not quite as bad. Would it make much difference trying to dial it out by playing with the cambers etc?

Same tyres, the camber will help when i get around to it... i think its down to the shear aggression of the way the boost comes on... turning the boost down in the wet is the simplest solution....
Don't really drive it in the wet just wanted to see what it was like, i knew it would be a handful cuz it is in the dry....
What tyres you running at present, when I change mine i'm looking for something a bit better in the wet because its always raining in this country, only problem i've got is i'm running 19's but thinking of getting a set of standards just to run around on and use the others for shows.

Yes i have adjustable boost from 1 to 2.5 bar and hell is there a difference...
Dunlop's at the mo don't get much choice with standard ur wheels..

Sounds like fun! Just been out in mine in the pouring rain and the front inside just spins up. Safe but a little boring... Not sure whether the TORSEN will make up for a fundamental lack of grip and too much power / torque!
