Secret, vehicle testing "strips" . Any in your area?

I know there must be quite a few of these places in the country.
Places off the public roads that you could gain access to for 1/2 an hour of undisturbed "mechanical testing" fun with your mates.:mischeif:
I know of one and it's dead easy to gain access (if you know where the key is ).
    It is here.
It is sometimes used for bike CBTs and training and also for farm machinery sales but is abandoned and unused at most times during the week (especially in winter).
    Anyone else have one?

Wow, at 2.27 miles a lap it is nearly a racing circuit. Just need a chicane and a couple of corners moving and it could be our own S2 circuit Who owns it?

      Cheers n

This is the only part of the area which will form a circuit as the northern area is blocked off.

As for who owns it? I don't know, the Northern and Eastern parts are now agri. The triangular SW part is used by the bike school. I have a feeling though that it is council owned as it is used for auctions, model flying clubs, biker training and even hosted afew raves in its time.

I think it would be OK. It's no car park but its widest part looks like this.

Surely other people have something like this nearby. A large concrete or tarmac area on private groung somewhere in hills would be great in the winter. ANyone own a car park in the penines?

Wonder what the access is like on weekends when everyone is at home? The remaining stretch of runway looks like it could be useful.
