    S2 out S3 in

S2 is now gone and ive bought an S3. I was expecting bigger things but the S2 is by far faster even more noticably on the motorway. doh! you dont feel the pull from the turbo. until i get it re-mapped that is! now i know why S3's used to back off when challenged. they werent backing off they couldnt go any faster. S3 definatly better driving round town and the fuel tank doesnt empty anywhere near as fast.
Im not perfect, but my dog loves me!

I love s2's to bits, but just to add a bit of contreversy ( excuse the spelling) do you not think there weakest point is initally off the lights, maybe its my clutch? Top end its all you could want, instant pulling power. But why do S3 drivers buy an S3 if there not going to rag it????? tried it on with a few now with no come back!
Why dont they just get a diesel........
Lol - and you knew about the s3's before you got one, who had your s2, anyone on here?

Buy a b5 S4, same spec as an S3 but it has the same if not more power than an s2.

And the S4 is a proper Audi not a Golf in a suit.

b5 S4s are cheap ATM I reckon. So much more car for the money.

                (nerd head on)

To be pedantic, the Passat is mainly an A6 in M&S slacks, admittedly with an A4 front subframe.

LOL at that M&S analogy... Tis my understanding that Passat is closer to A6 alright by way of family DNA but I'm not completely sure.

An S3 is a nice enough car - nothing special in standard form in the performance department but they are the right size (maybe not weight) for chucking about on B roads. Imagine it would be easier to trundle round town and use less juice than S2. I'm not really a fan of Haldex though - Torsen is a computer free zone
