    Postal problem

    Hi guys,

Got a bit of a problem on my hands at the mo....

You remeber that RS2 turbo I sold a while back to a gent in Canada....

Well the bleeding thing has not arrived yet, the post office can't find it and to top it all off the guy wanted me to skimp on postage costs to get it to him and opted for the cheapest postal option which only covers £50 for the item... His choice not mine!!!!

What to do???? It has been over two months now since I posted it.....

    Thoughts please guys

BTDT!! I sent a steering wheel to Canada which took 4 months to arrive. Turned out that they'd sent it to somewhere the otherside of the world! It did eventually arrive in Canada but the tracking system was utterly useless. I was just glad that the buyer was pretty understanding and very patient. The only advice that I can give is to be honest and extremely patient!

Have emailed the guy the link to the royal mail website where it denotes that there is no compensation and no tracking for the item, The cost of the poastge was £57 quid so this guy is going to be seriously out of pocket, don't thinkt eh weight of the bleeding thing is going to have elped in this case being just over 7K when packed...

There are expletives I could use but I am refraining....

Good thing I kept all the emails from him over postage then eh.....Gave him all the options and the email before I sent it said

"Nice to hear from you. I was going to tell you to just go ahead and send it using the 30 day service anyway ... get to save a few 'quid' (if I remember correctly, that is your slang term for GBP, right?) and I wont be using it immediately anyway. Thanks for looking into it for me"

Open and shut on that one yes?????

Don't sweat it... If you've gone elcheapo postage, then it might have gone by sea - that can take months, but without tracking numbers on such an expensive item then its a bit risky for my liking.

my technique for making money is sending stuff to canada via DHL

they break EVERYTHING, so when you send it, always insure it for 4x the value and then you make a profit from their sh*te service when they lose / break it - never fails

i wouldn't worry Az, its not your problem at the end of the day mate.
More fool him for not playing the extra £20 or whatever for a traceable service on such an expensive item

if you have items of value you should always use special delivery that way you can track it and also get compensation

I would have paid the extra £30 to make sure it got there but he was paying at the end of the day.......
