After finding this on autotrader, I'm sorry it's not an S2... , it seemed like a good buy especially with that interior!!....and it can be "improved" a bit a la S4 styley..
I thought what a great mountain bike barge this would make.....

just had the RAC inpsector come back to me.......

DO NOT BUY THIS CAR was his verdict.....

major backlash/nasty clunks in transmission...oil leak from engine, cannot find where from!! (due to the engine covers), ....2 illegal tyres...and a completely repainted passenger side....amongst other things......

So now I've looked outside the S2 box....I have learnt a valuable lesson....
DON'T!!

S/RS hunt will resume on my return...

the thing is with all the "issues" and the fact I haven't seen it, I cannot go ahead...despite how much of a 'bargain' it seemed to be....

turns out the RAC inspector drove around in the low gear range....not recommended, apparently.......so might still get something out of it....still looking at Briggsy's...
