Oh it's real and is fitted to my 200 20v I was like WTF is that thing connect to alt. apparently it's the control unit for the rodent control system. Well I'll tell you this much it does not work!!!!!! When I bought the car I cleaned the airbox out do to a mouse house. I later had to remove the bonnet insulation cause the littler feckers were tearing it to bits trying to make another nest.

Well I've certainly seen a few cars in the workshop with rodent damage to both wiring and washer jet hose. As it happens we had a new TT in just this week with washer jet hose damage thanks to one of our fury friends.

I've also seen the results of a rat making a home for the night behind a cam belt cover.............. not nice I can assure you
