    aircon rs2

My aircon hasn't been working for a good while. Hoping it only needs a regas.
My point is, does it make sense to still have the system turned on. I beleive compressor is working.
Read some threads a while back that suggested to keep system running on regular basis to avoid siezing and corrosion??? Would this be worthwhile in this instance?
Would get the aircon sorted, but it's down the list of jobs to do.
    Any suggestions fellas?

Yes you need to use it or you will lose it. Check the threads re the infamous AC pipe that leaks !! I think there is a 'sticky'

If its a big leak, then the low pressure sensor will prevent the compressor from running. Most likely leak is indeed discussed in a sticky - goes thru right inner wing to the drier. Get a GOOD aircon place to run a leak test - they add funky die which shows up in UV light.

With Paul's comment re dye in mind. Check if any under bonnet stickers indicate dye added previously and even if know have a poke round with a UV light source.

Thanks for the words of wisdom guy's. Big help.
Never owned a car with A/C so have to get it sorted. Don't fancy another summer stuck to leather seats.
            Cheers.

              ac rs2

if the leak is big you should be able to see encrusted yellowish residue around leak , mine was on the dry to bulk head pipe, the ac guys pressurised the system [as boost leak test] with nitrogen gas believe me you will soon find the problem, dont forget your new dryer /reciever before your re gas
