    Whats it worth?

My S2 Avant, with a boost problem.
Ive spent a small fortune on this car in the 8 or so months Ive owned it and am no closer to solving it still.
I have totally lost interest in it now, and a long standing dream of having a high performance Audi for years and years has been nothing but a total nightmare from day one.

I will be open to offers once ive moved house in 3 weeks or so...

    Some recent pics

Since buying it, I have added the following:

    New WGFV
    New plugs
    New intercooler
    Mark H x member mod
New Roose silicon hose intaKe pipe to throttle body
    New divertor valve
    New cat 1 alarm
Rear tailgate panel modded for both fogs to work
New new tailgate handle modded for panel
New front and rear S2 badges
    New rear Audi rings
    New rear aero wiper
    New rear load cover
New 1.8T coils with 034 Motorsport loom
New front fog to replace broken one
New Milltek rear silencer with custom stainless pipe to remove centre box
Boost gauge fitted with heater vent panel
    HID front lights
    LED sidelights
    Tinted side repeaters
    Old hands free kit removed

138k will have full mot which is due end of Feb.
    Huge folder of history.

As you can see, Ive spent alot of money in a short period of time, and am truely gutted to have to sell it, but I cant take any more!
I would love to keep it, but simply have run out of steam, ideas and enthusiam trying to get it running properly

Tough call..Is there not any other members near you just to test out sensors or just have another set of eyes on the car as it seems you have done most of the obvious things to fix problem apart from (MAF)...

Have you pressure tested it? This usually sorts a boost leak for you.

Sorry to hear you are having doubts about it.

          Cheers,

          Steve.

My advice to anybody with running probs, and not enough know how would be to get to a specialist. That way your not chucking money at it and hoping.
Maybe not the cheapest option but if somethings not right a specialist has the best chance of sussing it. Possibly saving you money time and frustration.
Don't spend money on any superficial stuff, although tempting.
Get the motor running right using the pro's, and then start sticking on the bolt on goodies.

Ive got a pressure test kit, and have used it over and over and over again.
It appears to be ok every time! (Unless Im doing it wrong!)

I wish I could take it to a specialist and just say please fix it, but I simply cant afford it, and am at the point of not wanting to spend anymore on it anyway

Not even the small amount a health check at MRC would cost?

martyn don't own an S2 but for what it's worth like I said before I might be able to stop by saturday evening. Even tomorrow night if you mind putting me up but I want to see this solved as much as you do and a 2nd set of eyes can't hurt

Also not sure how much money you have but I can get you in with a garage in cambridge, they work on hpmuirt's s2 so they are familar with them

I would normally say yes, and am happy people want to help get it sorted, but the next2 or 3 weekends are all taken up with packing and getting everything sorted ready to move house.
Soon as we are moved I will be wanting to sort it asap

Only 10 mins from Kettering, so still pretty much the same area
