8A0 805 645 A connecting pipe

As title say's just got new pipe, or (strut brace) part number off Eckta is correct, but pipe is shaped differently at both ends where bolts run through. Tapered would be my description.
No need for 2 plastic bungs I also ordered.
Question is have I got myself the wrong brace, or is this the latest shaped version?
Anybody else encountered this.

That sounds like the new design strut brace. Tapered ends so that only the bottom of the brace is bolted to the turrets.

Yup, Stu is right. It the last version of it.
Although the S2 and RS2 stopped being built in MY1996 they carried on making the bar after 1996 until the end of the run of urS6's in MY1997, as urS6 uses the same bar.

In fact, all S2's (3B's included) urS4's, urS6's, RS2's, V6 Coupe's (FWD and quattro) and V6 80's (FWD and quattro) can all swap around no matter which version it was (round, flat end tube or tapered tube)

Makes sense now.
Word of warning, anybody getting new brace, make sure you order new bolts and washers for new style brace. Old ones are to big.
