Wow , the two Riks.......... you must be as old as me, or read a lot of history books

When I first became aware of road racing Van Looy was the tops ( it was the Tour in 1963) he had a young protege, Ward Sels who was useful. Rik is still alive, over 80 I believe and when he retired he open a horse breeding centre (?) in Herentals.
Sorry this is way off topic.
The few times I've been to Belgium it seemed like a reasonable place!

you also might want to check on the forum on www.s2power.com, the dutch/belgium S2 forum. there are quite a few guys from Belgium there who can be of help (the technical control in B can be a pita sometimes...)

Are you the guy working for UCB ? A friend of mine asked me some questions about importing a UK licenced S2 to Belgium (with Porsche calipers and so on ...).

If it's the case, nice to meet you here. I was about considering to answer my friend to point you to this forum ...

Have you ever heard about Audi Heritage in Belgium ?

Anyway, welcome, and hope to see your car very soon :-)

Yes I am... Thanks for the welcome.

So - should I just take the car as is and 'see what happens' or should I at least replace the headlamps before taking my first shot? I have limited time in which to do this as the UK MOT runs out end Feb....

          Headlamps

          Dear ujimaflip,

Really funny to read you, as I just got an e-mail from Stavros ... :-)

To be a bit constructive, as I don't use my S2 for now, I can lend you my headlamps (DE ...) for the MOT ...

Maybe we can arrange this throw PM or at mh.bawin@gmail.com

            Calipers

And as I remember MidnightBlueS2 had some fancy "AUDI" stickers to put on your porsche ones. Maybe the MOT will be less reluctant as they aren't red and porsche ...

              Hurrah - passed technical control

Went to Belgian technical control today - it passed with no problem - just minor adjustment of the lights!!
Now to find good (cheap) insurance in Belgium.... Any recommendations?

Special thanks to Mashounet for lending me the lights!

If your yearly mileage is low, they're unbeatable.
