hi, was looking on ebay for some brembo font calipers for the s2 and i came across some brembo gt juniors 4 pots off a seat cupra r . I would just like to know if anyone has used these as a front brake upgrade or if you can use them as they seem to be cheaper option than the porsche calipers . these calipers take a 323x28 disc with original seat brackets. it says they a used on mark4 golf and some audis
As far as i know you could use them as they are used on the MK2 golf which have the same carrier bolt distance, but you have to shave some off the seat brackets and use 323mm A8 discs as they are 5 stud.
cheer s for info lads. does anyone know of a disc that would do the job , 28x320ish but with 5 stud pattern that would fit the s2 . mmmmmmmmm hard one maybe ill just save up and get the porsche 996 mono block s the tried and tested way
does any one know what model a8 uses these 323mm disks and what the thickness is too,im after a disk around that size for my upgrade, ive got a set of big reds for convertion which will need a 30mm thickness minimum i recon
I have a pair of standard RS2 front calipers which I have just upgraded to Big Reds. Calipers need a refurb (most do) but were fully functioning when they came off, in fact they worked better than other RS2s I have driven.
As an alternative I have a rear pair (to suit a 299mm disc) bought as a spare set - also need a refurb. These will require different mounts to use on the front.
