    I'll tell him

about the route from Newcastle to Drymen: via Edinburgh (A68/M9) or via Glasgow (A69/M74)? acc Google maps the latter is 20min less time, the former is 10mi shorter distance. the hotel driving directions advise the Edinburgh route.

we're here, it's raining very hard, internet costs 3pounds/30min, but otherwise all is OK. driving here is a true joy, the scenery is great, beer & whiskey are good.

It'll be dry tomorrow , if you're far enough north you'll get some snow as well, which town are you staying in ?

we were some 10mi north of where this pic was taken

we are already back home, we did not have more time now for a longer trip, but we'll be back... probably in the summer for at least a round trip of the highlands. and I'll have to arrange some activities for the girls then, so I can have a serious drive because the joy of driving there is worth the trip alone but the scenery made me doubt whether to spend my 2007 bonus on a new Garret turbo for the S2 or on a Canon EOS 5D

I did not make too many mistakes with the left driving but once nearly got the front of the car driven off when I left a petrol station and looked the wrong way for traffic

A few things amazed me when driving: the amount of water on the road, the number of time "SLOW" was painted on the tarmac without any hint on how slow, the lack of stopping space at the side of the road (whenever I wanted to stop to take some pix, this was not possible without blocking the road), some mysterious warnings like "hidden dip", .....

Henkjan would you mind posting some new pics of your Coupe? Can you tell me if et13 17x8.5 rims will have problems at all fitting to an Abt C5 Coupe?
            Cheers mis amigos,

Thanks for the reply buddy... I've followed pics of your Abt C5 throughout the internet for some years now. I bought the BBS RS rims to go with the original look of the Abt C5 Coupe prospekt if you know what I mean. When you have the chance and could verify if et13 8.5x17 rims would fit because I don't have the wide fenders to compare to, I think they will however.
                  Cheers mis amigos,

I will check when I get home. I've got the C5 prospect, so I know what you mean should look good
but do you already have a C5, or have you managed to get your hands on a bodykit?

I have recently bought a set of OZ Superlegera, from the photoshop these should look great as well... these are ET37 so I should get some ~20mm spacers first...

shell v power i have been told is 99.6 ron. And a slight improvement over optimax which was 98.6 ron. Just what i was told. 102 ron available at the bp station at forth road bridge services. Probably near £3 a litre. Lots of great roads up here. Just drive i am sure you will find many on your travels. Loch lomond is a very nice place to visit. Not the best weather at the moment.
