I think you'd easily get more for it if you fixed the gasget and stuck it on pistonheads. is it the 2.6 or 2.8? and mot/tax?

I sold my 2.6 L reg in metallic green last week for £1500 on Autotrader in 2 days to the first person who saw it. Wasn't mint but was good with new tyres, discs and pads. Rear sections of the exhaust were new in October. I would definitely say do the work and set it free. They are easy to work on and the heads should come off easily. A cambelt took me about 20-25 mins to change on my drive and the ribbed belt less than 10. So much room to work compared to the 5 pots. Don't break it....

Don't mess with it... Get it clean and keep it original. There are a lot of tired and abused coupes out there. A good original one will sell for more and attracts the right buyer. Tyre kickers and test pilots are attracted to sparkles, stereos and modied crap. I wouldn't go down that route personally.....

careful dude, most cars on here are modded, and Fatty's efinately sparkles

Know what you are saying though, and i agree. A clean stock car will sell better than any other.

i agree it will be kept original sold for a quick profit it really needs nothing apart from the gasket and the little blister of rust on the rear wing (famous last words LOL)
unfortunatly it is not a quattro

                cheers Raj

Don't get me wrong. A modded car can look and be great. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and not everyone has the same taste. Modify and keep or standard and sell.. It is nice to come across an original coupe or S2 these days, so many have been tweaked and / or driven to the edge of destruction. We can't save all of them but we should save what we can...

Hi there guys thought i would post pics of the car got it for £300 quid in the end
Took off the timing belt and low and behold the water pump had seized results as the guy stopped the car as soon as it started to overheat so in the end it was a easy fix

Thats got potential for bargain of the year... A fine looking Coupe for ****** all money- bought by a true Scotsman Cricket Green is lovely too - will be easy to sell - appeals to the stylish bloke who isn't too afraid to be seen or to a lass with class.

Good find Raj and enjoy spending the profits !
